One out of Porto, Ajax, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool and Juventus will face Ernesto Valverde's side and we break down the Catalan side's potential opponents one by one.

Two English sides met in last season's Champions League, of course, when Liverpool eliminated Manchester City in the quarter-final stage.

This is the first time England has had four teams in the quarter-finals since Liverpool and United were joined by Arsenal and Chelsea in the 2008-09 campaign.

In recent years, Spain has dominated the tournament but Real's three-year reign is over and Barca are the only Spanish side left though no-one will want to play Messi and co.

When he was told after the 3-0 win, which secured a 3-2 aggregate victory for the Italians, that Juve had never managed such a comeback in the Champions League, Ronaldo said, "Maybe that's why they signed me".

Secondly there is no joy in the other English teams being there.

Although some pointed out that each of the teams are managed by different nationalities - with Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, Norway's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United, Germany's Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and Spain's Pep Guardiola at City - and not to mention a mass of foreign players in the ranks.

Manchester United beat PSG last week to qualify while Tottenham Hotspur made light work of Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool reached the final of the Champions League last season before losing 3-1 to Real Madrid in Kiev.

"They deserve to be there and we know they will be tough teams".

They are doing so, so well during the competition that I think it would be awesome for one of them.

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho would like to see two all-English quarter-finals in the Champions League.

It's going to be a free for all in the quarter-final stage, as previous stipulations stopping teams from the same Champions League group or the same country from facing each other are thrown out of the window. They have undoubtedly got the quality and the confidence at the moment.
