Usher & Rich the Kid Attacked at Recording Studio, Shots Fired

The US rapper Rich the Kid has been targeted in an armed robbery at a studio where he was recording a track with R&B star Usher. Rich the Kid, who appeared to be the target of the robbery, was outside during the attack.

Police say at least one person - a bodyguard - was injured. Usher, PEOPLE confirms, was working on his own music and was not recording with Rich the Kid.

Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies were at the scene searching for suspects and examining evidence.

"The victims stated, three black male suspects, confronted them in the alley behind a business and demanded their money and jewelry".

The robbery subject fired multiple shots as he escaped the scene.

The rapper posted a snap of him in front of a purple Lamborghini and holding stacks of cash in his hands.

Two masked men reportedly entered the resident and demanded cash and jewelry from Rich and Tori Brixx, who is now pregnant with his child.

Around 10 shots were said to have been fired at the group, with a man opening fire as he ran away from the studio.

The famous studio has been home to recordings by artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Shakira, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and Quincy Jones in the past.

Rich the Kid reached No 2 in the U.S. charts past year with his debut album The World is Yours, which featured the hit single Plug Walk.
