We discussed Anthem's Cataclysm events (and other endgame things) with executive producer Mark Darrah earlier this month.

The first post-launch content will released in March and will be the first of 3 initial acts.

We might still be a couple of weeks away from the release of EA and Bioware's upcoming Anthem, but that hasn't stopped the launch trailer from flying in to help build up the hype.

Strongholds were available in the recent open beta and gave players a taste of one of the highest-level fixed challenges in Anthem, ending with some top-quality gear if you and your squad can survive it all. Part two shows off the endgame content for Anthem that will hopefully keep players coming back for more and more.

After you've ventured deep into the world of Anthem, mastered their abilities and gone toe-to-toe with terrifying enemies, their journey will only be getting started. In the game, you take the role of a Freelancer, donning an array of customisable exosuits called Javelins.

Anthem is a new shared-world action-RPG from EA's BioWare studio where players can team up with friends as Freelancers - the bold few with the courage to leave civilization behind and explore a landscape of primeval beauty, confront the dangers you find and grow in power with every step.

The endgame content is mostly focused on harder difficulty levels, which will unlock as the player levels up, which includes the three Grandmaster ranks. Those updates, called "acts", will expand the game with "new locations, gameplay features, character interactions, and more". Once you complete Anthem's main story, you can up the difficulty of the entire game to challenge yourself even more.

Different endgame objectives will reward you with crafting blueprints for gear and personalization items. Legendary contracts are larger, multi-part missions with bigger rewards. Taking inspiration from Fortnite's seasonal narrative, Cataclysms are time-limited events that require plenty of teamwork and skill to successfully navigate.
