'Uri' races ahead of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' on Day 1

Good word of mouth will work in the film's favour.

While Dr Manmohan Singh's biopic is growing at a steady pace and has earned Rs 7.50 crore till now, as reported by Box Office India, Uri has managed to mint Rs 12.43 crore on the second day, making its total collection Rs. 20.63 crore.

Like everyone else, Union Minister Smriti Irani too seems to be impressed by Vicky Kaushal starrer- "Uri: The Surgical Strike".

Apart from Vicky, the film also stars Paresh Rawal as National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Yami Gautam as a no-nonsense interrogation officer.

This week two much-anticipated films made to the theatres "The Accidental Prime Minister and URI: The Surgical Strike". But since yesterday, the kind of reaction we have received is really overwhelming. Vicky plays Major Vihan Shergill in the film which talks about's India's revenge after several jawans were killed during the Uri attack. Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strikes which were carried out by the Indian army in 2016. Anupam Kher's political drama movie is giving a good competition to the film.
