This 2018 booking photo released by the Yolo County Sheriff's Office shows Kevin Douglas Limbaugh.

There's no way to know when the note was typed, Davis police Lt. Paul Doroshov told SFGate.com, adding that the note was found during a search of Limbaugh's apartment.

Investigators also found a letter on his bed that accused Davis police of using "sonic waves meant to keep dogs from barking" against him. I notified the press and internal affairs and even the Federal Bureau of Investigation about it.

The handwritten note was signed "Citizen Kevin Limbaugh".

Investigators have not identified a motive for the ambush shooting of the 22-year-old officer as she investigated a vehicle accident. I'm highly sensitive to its effect on my inner ear.

In November, Limbaugh was ordered to turn in a black.223 Bushmaster AR-15 semiautomatic rifle.

Authorities have not determined where Limbaugh obtained the two semi-automatic handguns he was believed to have used in the Thursday night attack that killed Corona.

According to authorities, Limbaugh rode up on a bicycle and shot and killed Corona as the rookie cop was on the scene of a three-car collision.

Pytel said that after shooting Corona, the gunman reloaded and began shooting in another direction, hitting a firetruck, a house, a bus and a backpack being worn by a person.

After hearing a single gunshot inside, the officers sent a robot where Limbaugh was found to have fatally shot himself in the head. Firefighters were at the scene-their department was near where it happened-and had tried to save her, Pytel said.

The shooting devastated the Davis Police Department, which has about 60 sworn officers and about 30 other employees.

Police surrounded a home several blocks from the shooting scene and tried to coax the man out of the building, the newspaper reported.

Corona was the first Davis police officer killed in the line of duty since Douglas Cantrill was gunned down September 7, 1959, the Bee reported.

The memorial service for slain Davis Police Officer Natalie Corona will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Activities and Recreation Center, or ARC, on the campus of UC Davis.
