Bayo has put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the club and follows PSG youngster Timothy Weah through the doors this month.

The 21-year-old Ivory Coast forward joined Dunajská Streda in March last year, having previously spent two years playing in Tunisia.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said on the club's official website on Monday: 'Timothy's a young talent who is full worldwide player. "He has a long career ahead of him but he has those natural attributes in terms of his pace and technique", Rodgers said in a club statement. With the quality of players they have, it's hard for him to get in and get any game-time.

Timothy Weah says he has "so much more to give" as he begins his loan move with Celtic, where he will be deployed differently than he has been with club or country. "He has told me it is really intense and it is good to grow as a footballer by playing for this club". "That'll be interesting. I've never been before so I'm really excited for that".

With Celtic are now short of striking options with former PSG youngster Edouard their only available option - after Leigh Griffiths was given an extended period of leave to deal with off-field personal issues - Weah could be in line to make his first team appearance against Airdrie in the Scottish Cup later this month.

Bayo becomes manager Brendan Rodgers' third signing of the January transfer window following the loan arrivals of Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah.

"He and rest of the coaching staff are going to build me and form me into a really good player, and my team-mates are going to help me mature".

Celtic have confirmed the signing of striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo from Dunajska Streda.
