Former Blizzard Entertainment developers have announced their new studio has formed a deal with Marvel to work on a new game.

That certainly fits in with what we'd expect from numerous folks behind Hearthstone, and all expectations are now focused on this being a Marvel-licensed card game.

Second Dinner is headed up by Ben Brode, and Hamilton Chu, former Hearthstone game director, and executive producer, respectively.

"In all likelihood, this will be the best game ever made", said Second Dinner CEO and paragon of modesty Hamilton Chu. Details of the game have not been revealed. Hearthstone was a huge success for Blizzard and Second Dinner are assembling a really talented team of developers.

Second Dinner raised $30 million via a minority investment from a company called NetEase and is now looking to expand its team to build the aforementioned game.

It's unclear what the unannounced game could be, although judging by their pedigree on Hearthstone it could be a mobile or PC-orientated title.

NetEase vice president Ethan Wang said: "The Second Dinner team has a strong track record of delivering quality games". Not much is known about the game itself at this point, aside from the fact that a wide range of cast members from the Marvel Universe will appear. Dunno! Nexon launched their own mobile Marvel card game, Marvel Battle Lines, only a couple of months ago but it's not the friendliest of things. It's going to be fantastic!

The new project is based on Unity, and Second Dinner is now hiring for two key roles. Or Mighty! Or quite possibly all of the above!'

"Today, we're excited to announce that we've entered into a new partnership with NetEase to help us explore new directions", reads a Bungie statement on the announcement.
