Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan leave for Isha Ambani’s wedding celebrations

And while we are still reeling from the unimaginable scale of opulence, the spotlight is now on Reliance heiress Isha Ambani and industrialist Anand Piramal, who's wedding is sure to trump even the grandest and most expensive shaadis of the year. A source had earlier shared, "The family has requested a floral set up on the vessel holding the idol of Shrinathji". Ahead of the wedding, the families have gathered in Udaipur for "sangeet" and other pre-wedding celebrations slated for 8 and 9 December.

In the press statement announcing Isha and Anand's wedding, the Ambanis and Piramals said, "During the weekend prior to the wedding, the Ambani and Piramal families will host their friends and family in Udaipur, where they are partnering with artisans and craftsmen to integrate local culture and traditions into the festivities". One of the biggest artistes of all time, Beyonce, is scheduled to perform at the sangeet ceremony.

A press release by from the Ambani family said that as part of the "Anna Seva", 5100 persons were served food. Mukesh Ambani opted for a maroon Nehru jacket, while wife Nita was dressed in an beige kurta with Benarasi dupatta.

Ambanis have taken up an auspicious task Anna seva of feeding 5,100 people (the majority of them with special abilities) three times every day from 7th to 10th December. B-town celebs including Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Karan Johar and others have headed to Udaipur. The pre-wedding festivities also include a unique exhibition called Swadesh Bazaar that will showcase 108 traditional art and craft forms from various regions of the country. Creating an interesting experience as also an immersion into India's cultural heritage.

And lastly, the official statement concluded with these words, "From the rich Kanjeevaram, exclusive Patola, intricate Chikankari to fine Bandhani, exhibits cover over 30 types of textiles and weaves".
