The website now displays a terse message about President Donald Trump.

Rudy Giuliani's defense of President Donald Trump sounds like the excuses offered by everyone prosecuted for witness tampering, according to an MSNBC legal analyst.

Tonight, Rudy Giuliani tweeted his anger over the prank, and proved he has no idea how it happened.

He pointed to former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who was charged with witness tampering in June for text messages that appeared he was trying to line up his testimony with other witnesses. Giuliani said Mueller had done similar in July as Trump left for a meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin, and that the actions could have been easily taken earlier or later.

The social media platform automatically added a hyperlink over the text. "Out of control! Supervision please?" declared the former mayor of New York's tweet. "Don't tell me they are not committed card-carrying anti-Trumpers", he said, finishing his tweet with an all-caps plea for "fairness please".

"The same thing-period no space-occured later and it didn't happen", he ranted in a follow-up tweet.

Web designer and comic Jason Velazquez noticed the gaffe and pounced, purchasing the domain and posting a message: "Donald J. Trump is a traitor to our country". Time Magazine also may fit that description.

While Trump's lawyer didn't comment on the mistake, netizens were keen to laugh at Giuliani, who had earlier served as an informal cybersecurity adviser to the United States president.

It is not the first time that conservatives have accused Twitter of acting against them.

Trump himself tweets constantly about the "Witch Hunt", and Giuliani plays ball with tweets of his own.
