She joins Pedro Pascal in the series, whom Variety reported earlier this week was in negotiations to star. That's a pairing I never thought I'd want to see, but the thought of seeing the two of them mix it up with Pedro Pascal makes me want to subscribe to Disney+ immediately.

According to Variety, the Game Of Thrones and Narcos actor had been one of those under consideration and is now negotiating to take the lead.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Warsuniverse. Pascal, known mostly for his work on Game of Thrones, was rumored to play the part weeks ago by sites like MakingStarWars.net, but this is the first confirmation.

The Mandalorian is now in production for a planned 2019 release on the Disney+ streaming service. Since that time, she has appeared in numerous films and television roles including the Steven Soderbergh directed film "Haywire" as well as a role in the first "Deadpool" movie and "Fast and the Furious 6" as well. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dope's Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones) will also direct episodes. As far as some of the others, Disney also announced in recent days that it will produce yet another Star Wars spinoff that serves as a prequel for the character Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna.

Executive produced by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian does not yet have a release date but sometime next year seems like a good bet.
