When asked when Rizin FF will finalize the details of the Mayweather vs. Nasukawa fight, Sakakibara could not give an immediate answer.

The legendary boxer will square off with 20-year-old Tenshin Nasukawa, a 27-0 kickboxing sensation, on New Year's Eve at a RIZIN event in Japan.

Japan's young fighter Nasukawa has a 27-0 record in kickboxing and a 4-0 record in MMA - also he clearly has no hesitation against taking on Mayweather's experience. Earlier in the day, Mayweather posted a photo of himself on social media wearing Rizin MMA gloves. In fact, he downplayed the financial aspect of the deal.

"I wanted to do something different", said the 41-year-old American, who has not fought since coming out of retirement to face McGregor. "We'll get that situated within the next couple of weeks". "That's really want the people want to see". After winning a Bronze medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Mayweather turned pro and never looked back. Let's go over to Japan.

'I have fought in the United States for all 50 of my fights.

The Rizin Fighting Federation was founded in 2015 by Japanese businessman Nobuyuki Sakakibara, who was previously the president of Pride Fighting Championships before it was sold to the then-owners of Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2007. He recently defeated former UFC fighter Kyoji Horiguchi in a kickboxing fight.

Mayweather insisted Nasukawa would be no pushover. He holds the Rizin featherweight title, which is at 126 pounds. "I'm so happy that Mr. Nasukawa accepted this offer in a flash". "It is going to be good, very, very good and I can't wait".

'I can wrestle, I can wrestle a little bit. "My punch is here to change history". "I will show that to you, so please stay tuned".

The match has been dubbed a "Super Challenge" bout with the rules yet to be confirmed.

"I'm not particular about the rules, with or without kicks", he said. "I can do anything if I set my mind to it".

Mayweather was complimentary of Nasukawa. "It's obvious he's doing something right to be where he's at".

"I want to continue to build my relationship with Money Team Tokyo". You guys know about boxing, you guys know about fighting. As a professional I haven't had a chance to go outside the United States to display my skills and to display my talent for the world'.
