Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud were among the other players to arrive at France's Clairefontaine base ahead of their games against Holland and Uruguay.

The 27-year-old was left-out of Didier Deschamps' plans when the 23-man party to face Netherland and Uruguay was unveiled last Thursday.

France was already without Thomas Lemar and injured left back Lucas Hernandez.

Upon being left out of France's last squad for October's worldwide fixtures, Deschamps said Lacazette remained down the pecking order.

However, the Mirror claim Lacazette informed French bosses within hours that he had to reject the worldwide call-up and make himself unavailable for selection due to a minor groin injury.

Mendy is one of several Premier League stars to have withdrawn from national team duty, with Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Alexandre Lacazette also out for France's November games.

His spot was taken by uncapped Borussia Moenchengladbach attacker Alessane Plea who scored a hat-trick in the Bundesliga victory over Werder Bremen on Saturday.

Sissoko's most recent appearance for the national team came in October 2017 in a 2-1 win over Belarus in World Cup qualifying.

'There is competition in this position and for the moment the players I selected for the World Cup, I continue to rely on them.

Martial and Pogba will miss France's decisive UEFA Nations League match against the Netherlands on November 16.
