Kim Kardashian Forced to Evacuate Home Due to Wildfires in Calabasas

Once she arrived there, she revealed that she had one hour to pack and evacuate.

The star has asked her fans to "pray for Calabasas" after the reality TV star was "evacuated" from her home due to wildfires.

One fire has reached the Hidden Hills home of Kim KardashianWest and Kanye West, according to TMZ.

Kim Kardashian-West also took to her Instagram story on Thursday night, sharing a photo from a private plane of the fires.

She said she'd temporarily taken up in sister Kendall Jenner's home, while the supermodel was stomping down the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway in New York City.

Kanye West tweeted later Friday, "Thank you for everyone's prayers. God is good. I'm just praying everyone is safe".

The 39-year-old posted a photo on her Instagram stories of her vehicle trunk packed with bags, captioning the post, "I pray that everyone is kept safe and protected from these fires".

Filmmaker Scott Derrickson tweeted that his family lost their home.

Last night, many people began to see just how unsafe and widespread the fire was when those in the affected areas began sharing photos and videos on the internet.

As of this writing, the fire has destroyed over 14,000 acres, and has put all of Malibu under mandatory evacuation.

Earlier in the day, another wildfire in Santa Rosa Valley called the Hill Fire shut down the 101 freeway and forced the evacuation of almost 1,200 homes.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department tweeted that the fire was headed to the ocean, punctuating the message with the declaration: "Imminent threat!"

Kris Jenner's neighbourhood was also evacuated, but she was in NY at the time watching Kendall storm the catwalk at the Victoria's Secret fashion show.

In Northern California, the small inland town of Paradise was virtually wiped out by a fast-moving blaze that destroyed more than 6,700 buildings and claimed nine lives as of Saturday.

Thirteen miles from the Kardashian/West family, the inferno was also threatening homes in Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks, the neighborhood which was subjected to a devastating mass shooting that left 12 dead on Wednesday night.
