The WWE Championship went to A.J. Styles after a riveting stand-off with Samoa Joe.

If you didn't see the show - which featured a two-minute Universal Championship match, another crowning of Brock Lesnar, Shane McMahon of all people being named the "best in the world" and the return of Hulk Hogan, good lord - here's a short clip of H getting injured. Joe had replaced Daniel Bryan, who lost to Styles at Smackdown on Tuesday.

There will also be an eight-man tournament branded the "World Cup" at the controversial event which will feature no women. What's up with Triple H's injury after the main event with the Undertaker and Kane? However, the call by WWE officials was to have the decision made to quietly list Hogan's name on the WWE website. Smackdown, on the other hand, will be represented by Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, The Miz and Rey Mysterio.

Quite aside from actually going forwards with Crown Jewel in the first place, the company decided this of all shows was the right time to wheel out Hulk Hogan for his big return - a good day to bury bad news.

The event will be live on Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 1HD (both English) and Ten 3, Ten 3HD (both Hindi).

WWE cameras caught up with Shawn immediately following his match at Crown Jewel and got some comments from him on his return to the ring as well as his thoughts about having more matches now that he has returned.
