The teen allegedly implicated two other friends whom he said helped him bury his mother and stage a burglary scene at his home.

"There was a D in one of the subjects is what the story is, and mom was furious at him", said Volusia County Sheriff Michael Chitwood.

Allman's child went to school with Ramos since kindergarten.

Two 17-year-olds who Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said helped the boy hide the crime were released Sunday into home detention, where they'll wear ankle monitors.

A judge on Sunday ordered a 15-year-old DeBary teenager, whom authorities said confessed to strangling his mother, to remain in juvenile detention until the next hearing in the case, according to a local state attorney's office. Around midnight, he sneaked into his mom's bedroom and choked her, police said.

He allegedly dragged her body around the house and outside and loaded her into the wheelbarrow.

"The deputies and detectives who worked through the night and into the morning gave this case absolutely everything they had, and I hope the family knows that Gail has all of us fighting for justice for her", Chitwood said. They buried the body at the church, where they had hung out in the past, according to the Orlando Sentinel. They also found a Playstation4 that he reported missing during the phony burglary. All our hearts break for this family. Once the evidence piled up against him, detectives say the boy alleged his mother was abusive and he "had to kill [his mother] before she killed him".

Investigators spent hours talking with the son, Chitwood said at the Saturday press conference.

'He had no sign of remorse.

Authorities said Ramos wasn't emotional in his confession. "He wanted me to go to the crime scene and admire his work".

Ramos was charged Sunday with first-degree premeditated murder and is now being held in a juvenile detention center.

Chitwood named the defendants and showed their mugshots, but Law&Crime is not identifying them because they are minors, and it is unclear if they will be charged as adults.
