In what is quickly becoming the norm, Bethesda has announced that Fallout 76 will have a huge day one patch you'll have to download.

These didn't run for long periods of time but did include almost all the base content which will be available on release day.

PC players expressed a need for push-to-talk functionality to come to Fallout 76. Head here for the PC version, here for the PS4 disc, and here for Xbox One.

If you're on PC, then you don't have to do anything.

It's Reclamation Day at last and you're finally free to leave Vault 76 in search of survivors and to rebuild the world.

And if you haven't already, you can pre-load Fallout 76 on all platforms right now, so that you can try and join servers as soon as they go live.

As seen in the tweet below from the official Bethesda Game Studios Twitter account, the publisher and developer chose to pen a letter to Fallout 76 fans that not only thanks those who worked on the game and the fans ready to play it, but also promises new Vaults, Faction-based PvP, character respecing, and more is set for the future. Creating a new style of game has taken the best from not just our own producers, programmers, artists, and designers - but great efforts from across the company. And thanks to everyone in publishing, IT, Bethesda.Net, Customer Service, Admin and our incredible partners in QA. A Fallout game unlike anything we've done.

Oh, Bethesda, don't you know one of the biggest issues we have with the likes of Fallout 76 is the achingly outdated software you're running?
