The Saints wide receiver, who reportedly tore his Achilles tendon while running a routine route during practice, seemingly confirmed the bad news on Twitter.

Dez Bryant's tenure with the Saints may have been short-lived.

Several other plays who have never played with Bryant also sent out tweets. "I won't question the man upstairs. this is the ultimate test. thank you everyone for the prayers".

The 30-year-old signed with the Saints on Wednesday following a workout in New Orleans a day earlier.

In 16 games a year ago for the Dallas Cowboys, Bryant had 69 catches for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

Bryant said multiple times during the offseason that he wanted to play for a contender, which made New Orleans an easy choice for him. The surging Saints have won seven straight and last Sunday knocked off the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Rams. He led the league in receiving TDs in 2014.

Dez just signed a $600k deal with the Saints to play in the team's remaining 8 games of the season earlier this week. and may have even seen game action as early as next week against the Eagles.
