Arsenal boss Emery: Liverpool are a very good example

Arsenal's French striker Alexandre Lacazette (C) celebrates with teammates after scoring his team's first goal during the English Premier League football match between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in London on November 3, 2018.

Palace are yet another side starving for goals ahead of the weekend, as they've played 395 minutes (Oct. 1 - all competitions) without finding the back of the net, and are winless (two draws) in their last five league games.

A great ball from Trent Alexander-Arnold was dinked on to the crossbar by Roberto Firmino as Sadio Mane prodded the ball home, only for the goal to be wrongly disallowed for offside. Virgil said immediately after the game he should have had a hat-trick, but he had not even one [goal].

I just think the defence is bad, all over the place, and no different to what it was before. The ball is going and one player is offside and the referee doesn't whistle so he runs to the ball because he doesn't think he is offside and then the referee whistles.

"If you enjoy it as a spectacle then it is good!"

"It's a pity that it didn't count, we made a few more mistakes tonight than the ref, but it would have been nice if that goal counted". "I know if we have a very big mentality in the game, and a big performance, and also some luck, we can win".

Unai Emery's Arsenal showed they can hang with top-class opposition.

I was curious to see how Lucas Torreira shaped up for 90 whole minutes against one of the best attacks in world football. I watched Arsenal win 11 games on the trot, and they could have easily lost four of them, let alone drawn them. "But Liverpool is a very good test, and at the moment, we are continuing to work and improve".

"We want to write a new history", he told a news conference.

Milner has carved himself a very important place in this Liverpool side, and it's time people outside of Merseyside began to take notice.

On the other side, it's been more than two months since Saints last won a league game (Sept. 1), their only victory in PL play this season.

Milner has always been a reliable player throughout his career, but his importance has grown since his move to Liverpool.

It was also further evidence that this Arsenal side, while retaining the flowing game that was their trademark, also has stomach for the fight.

"But you can see we are moving forward as a team and we are defending well together".

That's a shame. Second half we changed formation a bit and it helped us today. But we need this quality in every match.
