Do you think you'll keep watching The Walking Dead without Lincoln and Rick front and center? The former Deputy Sheriff, who has been the heart and soul of this series over the past eight-and-a-half seasons is departing, and AMC have made sure to cash in on that fact.

Andrew Lincoln's final episode of The Walking Dead airs Sunday, November 4 at 9pm on AMC. For the longest time, it looks like Rick is done for.

There was a good deal of nostalgia in that - seeing Jon Bernthal, Sonequa Martin-Green and especially the late Scott Wilson, who died last month - as Rick kept slipping into what amounted to a walking-dream state. Are you eager to continue on with Rick's story, or would you rather have seen them kill the character off on the show and be done with it?

Happy with that or is this the point where you're done and dusted with The Walking Dead? Although it's been known since San Diego Comic-Con that Andrew Lincoln, who has been portraying the post apoclayptic hero Rick Grimes on AMC's hit horror drama for nine years now, is confirmed to be leaving the show, the actor let slip a surprising reveal on tonight's TALKING DEAD. As it turns out, Lincoln has signed on to appear in a number of Walking Dead films.

Last season brought the culmination of "All Out War", which pitted Rick Grimes and his group of survivors against the Saviors and their cunning leader, Negan. "But I hope we'll know more in the next couple of weeks". The timing in which Yeun shares this photo is quite touching given that Lincoln is finally having his swan song episode form The Walking Dead airing the same day.

It's not the only project now in development for The Walking Dead Universe, with Gimple set to roll out a multi-year plan involving films, specials, series, and other vaguely described "digital content". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first film will go into production next year.

"But I'll just - it was the goodbye, the goodbye was wonderful, you know, 'cause it's everybody that's worked with me for - alongside the show, you know, for nine years. We're going to introduce new characters and new situations", says Gimple.
