The official Clarence House account shared a photo and video montage of Charles in honor of his 70th birthday, which featured not only his bearded look but also a host of images from his childhood with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

The photo, posted to Twitter by Clarence House on Tuesday, shows the Prince of Wales in the gardens of Clarence House with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Prince William; Kate, Duchess of Cambridge; Prince George; Princess Charlotte; Prince Louis; Prince Harry; and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in London, England.

In the first photo, the royal family is perfectly posed, looking directly into the camera.

The family portraits were released in honour of Prince Charles 70 birthday on Wednesday, 14 November.

One photo shows the whole family laughing at something in the distance, with Meghan Markle bent over and Prince George giggling with his mouth open. The birthday prince is sitting on a bench in the garden of London's Clarence House next to his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Kylie, 50 and Cheryl, 35, were pictured shaking hands with the heir to throne, whom they have met several times throughout their career; Cheryl has also worked with Charles extensively in the past in collaboration with his Prince's Trust charity.

While the rest of the family is gathered in coordinated shades of blue, white and cream, Meghan Markle stands out in a monochrome frock - either she didn't get the memo, or she's making a deliberate, subtle effort to stand out.

The photographs are rare images of the prince with his three grandchildren, which will increase to four when Meghan gives birth next year. "So the question is how can we ensure that those same life-enhancing, timeless opportunities are there when future generations look for them?"

He said: "I think he does have time for it, but I would like him to have more time with the children".
