Mrs Trump insisted she still loves her husband - and said she has more important things to worry about than claims he has had multiple affairs (Picture: AP) Donald Trump with Stormy Daniels at a 2006 Lake Tahoe charity golf tournament.

"I know people like to speculate and media likes to speculate about our marriage", she said as ABC News ran video of tabloid covers speculating about her marriage over the sound bite.

The first lady has avoided publicly addressing the allegations of her husband's infidelities and friction in their 13-year marriage.

Daniels' public assertion came in an attempt to void a nondisclosure agreement and bring attention to a $130,000 hush-money payment the president's lawyer at the time, Michael Cohen, made just weeks before the 2016 presidential election.

The first lady's communications director fired back at Giuliani at the time, telling CNN in a statement, "I don't believe Mrs. Trump has ever discussed her thoughts on anything with Mr. Giuliani".

Melania also said there are people now in the White House she doesn't trust and who do not have her husband's best interests in mind.

The president's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, said in June that Trump "believes her husband, and she knows it's untrue".

"It is not concern and focus of mine", she added. "I'm a mother and first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do".

After a pause, the first lady admitted it's "not always pleasant" when the media speculates about her marriage but she knows the truth behind the rumors.

Donald Trump, on the 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape that became public during the 2016 campaign, says when he's attracted to beautiful women, "I just start kissing them". It is what media speculates...it is gossip. "You need to ask him".

But the first lady brushed aside the former New York City mayor's remarks. "It's not always correct stuff", she added in the clip released Friday.
