Veteran TV writer, producer and director Vinta Nanda, in a detailed Facebook post, has alleged that Alok Nath raped her a few times 19 years ago after he was sacked from their iconic show Tara for misbehaving with its lead actress.

She also mentioned how the channel's management changed and they insisted bringing back the "sanskaari actor" to the show. Midway I was accosted by this man who was driving his own vehicle and he asked me to sit in it and said he would drop me home. "I have faint memory after that".

"Irony is that the man, the predator in question here is the actor par excellence who is known as the most #Sanskaari (cultured) person in the film and television industry", Nanda added in the post. "It was a nervous breakdown I was going through, but I was trying to be courageous", she wrote, "I tried to pick up the threads of my life but channels and networks and sets and rehearsals started to freak me out".

The survivor has said that while she hasn't filed a police complaint yet, she believes in "poetic justice". In a detailed Facebook post, Vinta Nanda has retold her time in the 90s when she was producing several shows and writing for them. "It was after this that I quit", she said. Well, I do not want to talk much about it as for the matter if it has come out, it will be stretched, "he told ABP".

"I was completely shattered by then".

In the same post, without taking names, Nanda has alleged that Alok Nath was after the lead actress of the show - Navneet Nishan.

Nanda has claimed that the actor called her to his house and allegedly "violated" her. The actor, who played Deepak Seth in the soap opera, was after the leading lady, Nishan, who was not interested in him.

According to Nanda, Nath harassed the female lead actor.

"We don't have a redressal system in the industry", she added. The action was taken against him and he was removed from the show. I continued to write, but the couple of times that I pushed myself and found the courage to pitch for shows, I would break down during meetings. My lead actress slapped him. It followed soon after the sexual misconduct allegations against American film producer Harvey Weinstein.

CINTAA general secretary Sushant Singh extended his support to Nanda.

"I had friends who rallied around me and helped me clean up and restart my life in 2009, which meant that I had lived my trauma for 10 long years".
