Should Red Sox be anxious Angel Hernandez is umpiring Game 4?

The Red Sox humiliated the Yankees, 16-1, in Game 3 of the ALDS Monday night in the Bronx.

Boston goes into Game 4 seemingly in control of this series.

Aaron Judge finished 2-for-4 with a first-inning solo home run, a walk and two runs scored in Saturday night's 6-2 win at Boston. Aaron Sanchez finished 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs.

It was New York's most lopsided defeat in 396 postseason games.

Unfortunately for the Red Sox, they were forced to pitch Rick Porcello on Friday night in an effort to hold off the Yankees and get the victory in Game 1. Rick Porcello is scheduled to pitch against NY lefty CC Sabathia. Unlike Boston's Eovaldi, Severino could not get ahead of batters, and the Red Sox made him and the Yankees pay.

By the ninth, backup catcher Austin Romine was on the mound for NY and he gave up a two-run homer to Holt that completed his cycle. I told everyone, 'Get me up. Baserunning, defensive positioning and pitch selection are often overshadowed by three-run home runs, but they can often make the difference between winning and losing. "I was going to try to hit a home run, but I figured I'd ground out to first". "I'm trying to do the same thing that I have been doing; stay aggressive and try to get that first pitch strike out of the way". "It's something I'll remember for a long, long time". "Everybody was rooting for him".

Eovaldi's mark at Yankee Stadium is 3.38 in two starts, slightly better than his 3.70 career ERA in the Bronx, but again, that's inflated by the one start he made here with the Rays - or, if you look at the other side of the coin, not representative of the six shutout innings he pitched here on September 16.

"We've got to try to keep them in the ballpark". Steve Pearce's RBI single through the left side and Holt's two-run triple to right against Chad Green were the icing on the cake, as Boston built a 10-0 lead. The Yankees hit several hard shots that went right at defenders.

"He's been swinging the bat well for a while now", Cora said of Holt after the game, via "We felt the matchup was good for him".

For much of the season, the Red Sox seemed to be on autopilot, cruising to more wins than all but six teams in the history of the sport. He pitched for NY in 2015 and '16 before injuring his elbow, which required Tommy John surgery for the second time.

"I think some of my experiences in Detroit, I started postseason games in Detroit, came out of the bullpen, just seeing what transpires, especially in a short series in five games, each game is essential", said Porcello.

Bumped up a day in front of Porcello, he delivered a gem in his first postseason appearance. Nathan Eovaldi tossed seven innings and struck out five. "It was a special moment for me". "I don't think it's quite settled in yet".

Going with Eovaldi was one of several choices that paid off for Cora.

A Cy Young candidate during the first half of the 2018 season, Severino was 10-2 with a 2.74 ERA in 15 starts prior to the Midsummer Classic. Christian Vazquez started at catcher over Sandy Leon.

"Two places that are historic franchises where the fans are definitely rowdy for their home team and against the visiting team", Red Sox reliever Matt Barnes said.
