It is thought about one in four people in the United Kingdom will experience some sort of a mental health problem each year. She continues, "We teach teens how to recognize signs and symptoms of mental illness and how get help. and how we need to reduce stigma of mental illness".

On completion, trainees will gain a qualification in Adult Mental Health First Aid, with the certificate issued by Mental Health First Aid (England). As the United Nations panel recognised, ensuring good mental health goes some way towards reducing the burden of NCDs and therefore improving public health overall. The first and foremost step that a country like ours must take is to address the subject of mental health simultaneously generating awareness and defeat the stigma attached to mental health.
