The new iOS, creatively titled "iOS 12.1", is out today and, among other things, you will be able to FaceTime with up to 32 people. Airtel and Reliance Jio support eSIMs in India and will be able to offer their solutions once Apple seeds the iOS 12.1 updates to the new iPhones.

The latest version of iOS will be available today, and it includes Group FaceTime and more than 70 new emoji. New emoji will also be available on Apple Watch and Mac with a free software update. Notably, iOS 12.1 introduces a number of compelling features that arguably make it a must-have update.

Apple released their fifth beta of iOS 12.1 last week, we normally would expect a sixth beta but it looks like the final version of the software will be released tomorrow the 30th of October.

This is exciting news as Apple had introduced group video calling feature at WWDC in June.

The new FaceTime calls are supposedly "private and viewable only by the participants" and include an interesting feature to modulate the size of each person in the call in real time. It's likely not a feature the majority of iPhone users will take advantage of, but it's certainly exciting for users who need it.

United States and European Union carriers have reportedly been briefed to begin deploying eSIM contracts from 30 October, at which time users will be able to download iOS 12.1. With this feature, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR users can use a nano SIM and eSIM to get dual SIM functionality, letting them get an additional cellular plan without using a second SIM card.

In the wake of Apple's iOS 11 release a year ago, Apple was hit with a barrage of complaints regarding system stability and performance.

Carriers are readying for the launch of iOS 12.1 on 30 October which will provide eSIM support for the new iPhones, according to 9to5Mac. With all hints pointing towards the imminent launch of iOS 12.1 with two major features, users can wait a bit longer to find out.
