The body has been sent for an autopsy.

One person has been arrested after police found a baby, who appeared to have been stabbed, inside an oven at a MS home.

Bolivar County Sheriff Kelvin Williams Sr. said that the grandmother was taken into custody after the child was found dead Monday night at a home in Mississippi Delta town of Shaw.

"I've been doing law enforcement for 25 or 26 years now", Williams told The Associated Press. Jones remained jailed and it wasn't immediately clear if she had a lawyer who could speak for her. The grandmother's name is not being released because no formal charges have been filed at this time. 'This is one of the most awful things I've seen in doing law enforcement.

"The only time they would come out is if they need some help, but other than that, they didn't fool with nobody", the neighbor said.

Bolivar County, MS, Sheriff Kelvin Williams told WMC the grandmother, 48-year-old Carolyn Jones, has been charged in the child's death. Williams said autopsy results were not yet complete Tuesday afternoon.

Williams said Jones' brother found Floyd's body Monday night and called police in Shaw.

Sheriff Williams added: 'The Bolivar County Sheriff's Office is working in conjunction with the Shaw Police Department, the Bolivar County District Attorney's office, the Bolivar County Coroner's office, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation to collect all the evidence so that we can ensure justice for this innocent victim.

"That's hard to say", Williams said.

Williams said that he wasn't yet certain whether mental illness was a factor in the case.

Robinson pleaded guilty to the murder and received a sentence of life in prison.

'They found the child in the oven and called the Shaw Police Department who in turn contacted us to assist in a homicide investigation'.
