Google Pixel 3: What We Love!

Now Google has chose to bring the real-time translation capabilities the Pixel Buds sported thanks to Google Translate, to all Google Assistant-powered headphones.

Google's new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices were revealed earlier this week, and to nearly no surprise the phones are ready to hold their title as having some of the best cameras around. However, this is now set to change. "Google Translate is available on all Assistant-optimized headphones and Android phones", the page now reads. "The Google Assistant on Google Pixel Buds is only available on Android and requires an Assistant-optimised Android device and data connection".

This means that soon, Pixel owners will be able to plug-in external microphones (both USB Type-C and 3.5mm) to their smartphones, allowing much better and clearer audio feed to be captured while capturing videos. Software is what helped Google become the behemoth it is today, and it continues to out-innovate most rivals at an impressive pace.

Google Pixel Buds were exclusive to the Pixel and Pixel 2 phones and had a very futuristic over the neck light-weight design. At the moment, Google hasn't revealed a full list of headphones that will support Google Assistant.

Real-time translation current supports 40 languages. At the time of their release, the Google Pixel Buds were a real game changer.

In other Google news, the company is adding external microphone support to the camera app on its Pixel phones.

Another added advantage of the Pixel camera is the embedded Google Lens.

"I have been keeping an eye on this thread since the beginning and have good news", he said. This is positioned as a Screening service from Google and offers suggestion cards/chips such as Who is this or I'll call you back to allow Assistant to reply back effectively. The feature will be rolled out as an update on 18th October to the first generation Pixel, the Pixel 2 and the newly launched Pixel 3.
