Finally, we are here: tomorrow, Tuesday 9 October, the new top-of-the-line Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL smartphones will be presented. There have been so many leaks about what will be unveiled, the only thing we don't know yet is what colour shirt Sundar Pinchai will be wearing.

On the Pixel 3 pages, Google provides the image above, and tells users that the Titan M security chip, "built custom for Pixel 3, helps secure your passwords and operating system". The new Pixel 3 comes with the same Gorilla Glass protection and it features a larger 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a new 18:9 aspect ratio, which is pretty much the standard resolution for this year's premium smartphone segment. Last year's Google Pixel phone was lauded for its fantastic camera and vanilla Android software and the latest generation is building up on that. However, Google has introduced a new "Not Pink" model for its, new pink-colored handset.

The latest leaked images of the Google Pixel Slate clearly show a tablet-like device with an attached keyboard. Previously a leaker who goes by the name of Rozetked shared a hands on video of the Pixel 3 on Youtube.

It seems obvious to me, but of course, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will come out, of which we already know nearly everything. The new Pixel 3 piggybacks on this by offering a second front-facing camera that Google says will replace the selfie-stick, and better low light photography, zoom, depth of field customization, automatic photo-booth features - photo is taken with each facial expression - and the ability to change the timing in case someone blinked. We've listed pricing for each storage option below.

Google's current smart speaker line-up includes the Google Home, budget Home Mini and the Home Max. Google Home is falling behind Amazon Echo due to its limited availability.

Google is also expanding the availability of its popular Google Assistant virtual assistant, from six languages a year ago to 16 today. Some reports claim that Google will announce a tablet called Pixel Slate at its event and will ship later this month. In contrast to Pixel C, the new Google tablet also appears to have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. We've also seen speculation that the Google Pixel Slate will be able to dual boot into Windows 10 and Chrome OS.

Google initially showed off visual Google Assistant displays in January, but its thunder was stolen somewhat by Facebook which announced its Portal device one day ahead of the Google Home Hub. That being said, the new Pixelbook 2 is likely to come with a slight hardware upgrade and a revamped design. In reality, Google was previously rumored to integrate the wireless charging component into its Pixel 2, but it was nowhere to be found.

A new third-generation Chromecast might also be in the pipeline for the upcoming event. Anything is possible from Google's wacky hardware labs.
