That would be Google Assistant, which will offer up a teaser about Google's upcoming october 9 press event when you pepper it with some very specific questions.

That seems to indicate the new phones will retain the Active Edge technology from the previous generation of Pixel 2 models.

The video posted by the Google Japan channel on YouTube teases the availability of the Active Edge feature on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

Now, the company has asked the rumour mongers how small will be the mini Pixel and also posted a graphic teaser lining multiple un-branded phones in different sizes on a coffee table and the smallest tagged to a keychain. Users can even adjust the squeeze sensitivity - hard press, medium and light- of the device's rim to trigger the Google Assistant. Which begs the question of how "mini" is too mini? We are also not sure if Google will launch a separate Pixel Mini phone or just a smaller version of the Pixel 3. We have a feeling the next one will be a bit bigger than this. Pixel 3 series will come with dual-tone glass-and-metal finish body. But by now we already know what's coming next week. The Pixel 3 will test whether the things that made Pixel phones special still hold today when much of the market has moved on to other trends, especially with more than two cameras on the back and thin chins. The silver lining in all of this is that if you do not want to upgrade to the Pixel 3 or the Pixel 3 XL and you are completely fine in purchasing the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL, there is good news for you. The company has scheduled the launch for October 9 in NY, where it will unveil the device. This is of course valid for the larger model, the Pixel 3 XL as well.
