Anthony Martial drops contract hint after Chelsea draw

Maurizio Sarri has warned Chelsea to expect the unexpected against Jose Mourinho's Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

But he knows who Ianni is now after the Italian goaded the former Chelsea manager with an over-exuberant celebration following Ross Barkley's 96th-minute equaliser.

However, the match descended into controversy after United boss José Mourinho lost his temper with Blues staff member Marco Ianni when he celebrated in front of the Red Devils in the dugout.

As Mourinho said when asked about the extracurricular activities after the goal: "The 97-minute game was so good that you have to focus on that". "To do that I would have to lose my emotional control, which is not easy", insisted Mourinho, who spent five years at Chelsea and is still respected by the majority of their supporters.

"I am not annoyed with anything". What happened with Sarri's assistant, Sarri was the first one to come to me and say he will resolve it.

"But I have made many mistakes in football matches, especially when I was younger, and I will make many more so when he came to apologise I accepted". Confidence can play a big part too.

More news: Hazard could be friendly fire for Mourinho

This was, in the second half at least, much more like it from United, as Anthony Martial proved his quality, Juan Mata pulled the strings and Paul Pogba strived to make amends for his terrible switch-off at Willian's corner that allowed Antonio Rudiger a free header for Chelsea's first goal. The match was always destined to be highly charged and emotional because it involved Mourinho, who won three titles with Chelsea and is under pressure after a disappointing start to the season with Manchester United.

"They have to play my football with character.I don't want the long ball".

"Very good results, top of the league and of course lots of good players, but history says that when Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League, Chelsea is the champion". Tactically, by restoring Juan Mata to his team, Mourinho gave United a crucial link to the forwards and the Spaniard's presence also unlocked Paul Pogba's ability as a driving force further back - Mata's presence stopped Pogba from believing he had to do everything.

"Players are different and they react in different ways to the development process and Luke reacted in the best possible way", said Mourinho. "The Ander Herrera situation, I saw (he should have put) the ball in the net for 3-1, but that's football, and that's a bad result". The United manager taking the moral high ground over this episode will, in all likelihood, only add to the irritation felt at Stamford Bridge that this was an avoidable incident.

City moved onto 23 points, ahead only on goal difference from similarly unbeaten Liverpool who, far from their best, were grateful for Salah's sharp first-half victor in their unconvincing slog at Huddersfield. Giroud did get 16 in the league one year for Arsenal and this team is better than that one. I think it is finished.

Hazard scored 14 top-flight goals during that campaign but was one of a number of Chelsea's high-profile players to reportedly fall out with Mourinho the following season.
