Sunday's 5-1 demolition of Fulham will have filled Arsenal fans with even more hope that they can prove themselves as a force to be reckoned with this year. The England worldwide made the switch from the Emirates Stadium to Anfield past year in what turned out to be an excellent move for the player, and former team-mate Aaron Ramsey could be set to tread the same path.

Emery was pushed out at Paris Saint-Germain after failing to win the Champions League but he knows the recipe for success after lifting the French title and landing the Europa League with Sevilla.

Both players scored a goal and had an assist off the bench - the first time in Premier League history two subs have achieved that feat in the same game for the same team.

Emery has also shown he is not afraid to take on the team's under-achieving stars.

"We have to keep quiet and work like we did before and the season is going well", he said.

"It was hard for Fulham because they played well in the first half".

Under Wenger, Arsenal were often guilty of over-elaboration as their attacks would peter out due to an apparent desire to score the flawless goal every time.

Lacazette and Aubameyang scored two goals each, with Aaron Ramsey netting the other one for the visitors.

The 27-year-old Welshman, who has scored the victor in two FA Cup finals during his decade in north London and capped off a fine move in the weekend win at Fulham with his first goal of the season, wants to be on similar money to Arsenal's most recent big-name buys.

Aubameyang quickly emerged as a force following his January move from Borussia Dortmund, but the Gabon striker's arrival pushed Lacazette into a bit-part role.

Arsenal are in fourth spot heading into the global break, with growing hopes among fans that they can return to the Champions League next season after missing out for two years.

Some of the performances in those matches were far from convincing but Emery's men still deserve credit for a ruthless streak that deserted them against the lesser lights under Wenger.

Ramsey sent a message to his bosses with his arms-out celebration after scoring at Craven Cottage but Gunners legend Ian Wright says the club must make a statement of their own.
