Once it was due to injury, but the other two times Peterman failed to finish - including during yesterday's 47-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens - were because he was downright terrible.

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott had yet to decide Monday on a starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, keeping open the possibility of Nathan Peterman making another start instead of rookie Josh Allen. In his starting debut last season against the Chargers, Peterman threw five interceptions before he was benched at halftime.

Needless to say, a performance such as the one the Bills put in Sunday is going to lead to a lot of memes and reaction from all over the football spectrum, and Twitter definitely didn't fail to deliver. He completed 5-of-18 passes for 24 yards and two interceptions.

"I thought [Peterman] made some good decisions and some decisions he would like to have back", McDermott said Monday.

It was the first time Buffalo failed to gain a first down in the first half of any game since at least 2001, while Buffalo's 33 total offensive yards in the first half were the team's fewest in any game since they gained 11 against the Miami Dolphins in a December 2003 game. The second-year pivot posted a 0.0 quarterback rating. He finished 6-of-15 for 74 yards and was sacked three times. Mostly as a decoy or a rusher, Jackson helped Baltimore confuse Buffalo's defense and make it easier to find some big plays.
