Stewart was named Finals MVP.

UConn alumna Breanna Stewart glanced over at her teammates with a smile, soaking in the moments after winning the Seattle Storm's third WNBA Title Wednesday night.

But Stewart was fouled by Delle Donne while making a jump shot from the free-throw line on the next possession and converted the three-point play, sparking an 8-0 run to put Seattle back in control.

"It's incredible to be sitting here right now", the 17-year veteran said (via the Seattle Times).

The legendary University of CT women's basketball coach sat next to his long-time assistant Chris Daley watching the most decorated player they'd ever coach do what she always does - dominate and win.

The top five markets were: Seattle-Tacoma (3.6), Hartford & New Haven (1.7), Washington, DC (1.2), New Orleans (0.9), Memphis (0.9).

"This is advice", Bird said. She truly was the MVP of these Finals. "But we got better throughout the year". Players were selected by position and received five points for each First Team vote and three points for each Second Team vote. I like to push off one leg, and floaters, step-backs, all that off my left leg, so just trying to find a different way to get it done. The now WNBA champions won the battle of the boards, 39-28, and shot a ridiculous 13-for-26 from beyond the arc.

"Way at the beginning, I said at the start, I was exhausted of losing", said Stewart, the Finals and league MVP. "What she did this year was ahead of schedule, for us", Thibault said of the seventh overall pick. She became just the sixth player in league history to win the regular-season and Finals MVP award in the same year.

"We feel like we have a lot of young, great talent", Delle Donne said.

The Storm got their first taste of life without Bird in the semifinals when she broke her nose and had to sit out the remainder of Game 4 against Phoenix. I think we've really grown this fanbase. In Game 2, the Mystics missed all 16 of their three-point attempts, any of which would have been the difference in a two-point loss. And of course, Atkins emerged as one of the best rookies in a strong 2018 draft class, showcasing her ability as both a tenacious defender and viable offensive threat behind Delle Donne and Toliver.

As did numerous players who represent those teams, such as Seahawks stars Earl Thomas, Russell Wilson and Frank Clark. "Now I can go to the bar and order her everything she needs". In addition to setting the franchise single-season record for points (742) and field goals (270), Stewart broke her own single-season franchise record for 20-plus point games, boasting 22 on the year. When asked how it compared to the other two WNBA titles she's won, she said there's "no comparison honestly". "It really gave us that home court advantage".
