"These disgruntled Hillary (Clinton) supporters are related by blood to me but like leftists everywhere, they put political ideology before family", he wrote on Twitter.

The stunning ad was released Friday by Democratic candidate David Brill, who hopes to unseat Gosar when voters in Arizona's Fourth Congressional District head to the polls on November 6. "Stalin would be proud". His brother Pete, a Democrat who did not participate in the Brill campaign videos, ran unsuccessfully for Wyoming governor in 2014.

He added, "You can't pick your family". "To the six angry Democrat Gosars - see you at Mom and Dad's house!".

The Gosar siblings framed their endorsement of Brill as a matter of values, saying their brother, who has long drawn headlines for his far-right views, and his politics were simply too much for them to stomach.

In another video shown by the Brill campaign at a fundraiser in Phoenix on Thursday, Gosar's sister Grace says, "It would be hard to see my brother as anything but a racist". "I bet he'd be researching what is the most insightful water policy to help the environment in Arizona sustain itself and be successful".

In another ad, Joan Gosar says she is saddened but feels obliged to speak out.

David Gosar suggested to the New Times that his brother's health may be deteriorating.

The rift in the Gosar clan is not the only sibling feud to wend its way into campaigning this year for Congress, as Democrats seek to retake majority control of the House and Senate from Republicans. However, it appears six of his nine siblings were not the fans of the representative. He said the 10 siblings were tight-knit growing up in a small town in Wyoming, playing sports or cards. Gosar did not face a Republican primary challenger this year.

Gosar is one of President Donald Trump's biggest defenders, but his siblings do not appear to share his political views.

Horrified, seven of his siblings signed an open letter to the Kingman Daily Miner, stating: "It is extremely upsetting to have to call you out on this, Paul, but you've forced our hand with your deceit and anti-Semitic dog whistle".

"None of us are doing this for publicity". Attempts to reach the other Gosar siblings were unsuccessful Saturday. "It's awful to have to do this", says Jennifer Gosar. However, Brill's ad is sure to draw attention to a campaign race previously out of the national eye. Arizona's ruby-red 4th Congressional District, which handed Gosar a landslide victory in 2016 with 71 percent of the vote, is seen as one of the GOP's least-flippable districts.

"I don't expect anything like that from him", he said.
