Adrian Peterson has played against Aaron Rodgers more than a dozen times and knows not to be surprised by anything. "I'm telling him you said that".

"I think it's obvious we came off of a Sunday Night game, played an overtime game in unusual heat for this part of the country, so just trusting our numbers", McCarthy said.

Rodgers will rehab his left knee leading up to Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. They will take on the Saints in New Orleans for a Monday night game on October 8. "That's the only way you beat the greatest - by moving him off the spot and switching up the looks".

Even though Rodgers has been listed as questionable all week, he is expected to play and even though he's not 100 percent, he needs to be sharp.

"Yeah, obviously that's a concern", the 34-year-old Rodgers said Wednesday. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was taken 24th in 2005 draft after Redskins QB Alex Smith went first to San Francisco.

Rodgers played with a brace on his knee against the Vikings.

"Obviously, I'd love to be better than I was last week as far as health-wise, but there's some factors that are out of my control", Rodgers said.

Rodgers hopes to continue playing, and that his knee will improve during the season.

We'll see how long he and the Packers can keep going like that.

Spared an early Green Bay offensive outburst, the Redskins started to feel more comfortable offensively.

"G-Mo, I've always had a lot of confidence in him", Rodgers said. "I was giving all I had each time I played those guys".

Midway through the second quarter, the Redskins took over on their own 2-yard line and began a drive that was one of their most impressive this season. Whether it was straight up missing tackles or just taking poor angles, he missed a few on the day that could have led to much bigger plays if not for his teammates cleaning things up for him.

Rodgers threw everything he had at them in the second half, ending the game with 265 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Jones, who averaged 5.5 yards per carry on 81 attempts last season as a rookie, joins a backfield that includes Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams, who are averaging a combined 3.8 yards per carry.

With the of shifting center Chase Roullier to left guard and inserting journeyman center Tony Bergstrom into the starting lineup.

The other major injury of concern is to cornerback Kevin King, who dropped out against the Vikings because of a groin injury. At first sight, Green Bay is the better team with more impact players on both sides of the ball. Bet on the Green Bay Packers at -3.
