Alongside the new Echo Dot and Echo Sub, Amazon has also launched a new gen Echo Plus in India for Rs 14,999. The new Echo Dot comes with a larger 1.6-inch driver, is 70 per cent louder than the previous model, and much clearer sound.

At the Alexa event, Amazon also announced the newly redesigned Echo Show.

The new Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Show, and Echo Sub are available for pre-order on starting today and will start shipping next month.

The company Thursday also released updated versions of the Echo Plus and Echo Dot.

The Echo Sub is the first ever wireless Echo subwoofer from the company which is offering 100W deep bass sound through a 6-inch woofer. An eight-microphone array should deliver the most "powerful" voice recognition yet on an Echo device (at least, according to Amazon). The Echo Show will sell for $229 (Rs 16,407) and it will start shipping in the United States next month. The Echo Auto will let users bring Alexa smart voice assistant to their cars.

Technology around the smart home market is at a "tipping point" as thousands of new appliances become available, Mr Limp added. The speaker can also be paired with other Echo speakers to create stereo sound.

The 2nd-generation Echo Plus comes with an embedded temperature sensor, which will help you with the temperature. You can either pair a single Echo/Echo Plus with the Sub or two of them for a 2.1 speaker set where each of the Echo/Echo Plus become individual stereo speakers.

"We are focused on making Fire TV an easy way to watch all the entertainment you love, whether it's through streaming video services, cable and satellite providers, or even local broadcast stations", said Marc Whitten, Vice President of Amazon Fire TV.

Pre-order the microwave now; it's set to launch on November 14. If you buy this with two compatible speakers, you can save up to 25 percent. When the new feature will become available, you'll be able to say " Alexa, call Jimmy on Skype" to connect with Jimmy anywhere he uses Skype.

Amazon Basics Microwave. This table-top microwave is Alexa-powered and supports voice commands, and it has built-in Dash replenishment capabilities (for food, presumably). Think of it as an Echo speaker with a display.

Finally, there's an Echo to let you see the world when you ask the Alexa platform a question, as the Echo Show is added to the Amazon's screen-based choices. For example, the Echo in your kitchen can be included in both the "Kitchen" group for daily listening, and the "Downstairs" group when you're having friends over on the weekend.
