No word yet if either collaborator will be joining Levine and his bandmates at the Super Bowl. Maroon 5 fits that bill perfectly: A record 13 of its songs have reached No. 1 on Billboard's Adult Pop Songs radio airplay chart.

The NFL championship game is scheduled to take place on February 3rd, 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Maroon 5 will be the halftime performers at the 2019 Super Bowl, two sources confirm to Variety.

"The offer has been extended and they've pretty much accepted", an unnamed source told Us Weekly about the performance.

NFL fans are also exhausted of the league always going with the "safe" choice for a halftime show thanks to Justin Timberlake ripping off part of Janet Jackson's top many, many years ago.

Maroon 5 follows up last year's performer Justin Timberlake.

"We very actively want to play the Super Bowl", he said at the time.

So, who could Maroon 5 bring out? They recently collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on the song "Don't Wanna Know", so some left-field guest appearances on Super Bowl Sunday are a possibility. Along with "Moves Like Jagger", they have also penned "Love Somebody", "Sugar", "Payphone" and "Animals". Looking over their career, Maroon 5 could actually be a decent Halftime show if they make sure to invite all their friends.
