The launch of OnePlus 6T is quite near, the smartphone is going to boost up the market in October. TV commercials for the device have already been around for a while. More of a downgrade than upgrade, the trade-off is defended by the company as a must to utilise the space for new hardware, or maybe a bigger battery.

As per some of the rumors, which have been leaked, it has been shown that the OnePlus 6T will be going to come up with an improved battery, but still, it is not clear how the improvement will be achieved. Apart from the TV ad, some features have also been confirmed about it. The OnePlus 6T and R17 are said to have identical design and it is possible that someone simply used OnePlus wallpaper to pass off the R17 as OnePlus 6T. The company's CEO Carl Pei has confirmed this in an interview with TechRadar. It shows the front perspective of the forthcoming smartphone close by featuring its tagline.

In addition to the fingerprint scanner, OnePlus 6T will also boast face unlock capability, but not sure if it will be on par with the Apple iPhone X (review). And lending more weight to this is a screen protector listing spotted on what appears to be the official OnePlus website.

Further, it is also expected that OnePlus 6T will feature a slightly bigger display than the OnePlus 6. The rumours have hinted that the OnePlus 6T will come with a 6.4-inch screen. OnePlus 6 launched in May this year with multiple variants, including a premium Avengers edition.

There is one more thing that is confirmed about the OnePlus 6T.

So it appears that this Oppo R17 series style notch is nearly confirmed. The leaked images show a rear design that is similar to the OnePlus 6, although as expected the fingerprint sensor has been removed and placed elsewhere.

Since the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the front panel, there will be only two camera module on the back along with the OnePlus logo. OnePlus has also chose to walk the path.

Whether the latest leaked images are accurate or not is something we will know for sure in three weeks from now when the OnePlus 6T is supposed to launch in India. The rear camera could remain the same 16MP+20MP as it was already rated very well, but may add some improvements and new AI-based features.
