Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists there is no crisis surrounding Mohamed Salah's form and does not expect the Egypt global to repeat his record-breaking goal-scoring feats from last season.

Having scored three goals already for the Saints, the striker would have posed a threat to Liverpool, and Jordan Henderson is glad to not have to come up against his former teammate.

The Reds are coming off of their UEFA Champions League opening victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

Despite creating Mohamed Salah's goal, Shaqiri was dragged off at the break.

Liverpool stayed ideal in the Premier League with its sixth straight victory on Saturday after beating Southampton 3-0 at Anfield.

It was just Klopp making a tactical change.

"No one remembers that (his slow start last season), it is really no problem".

"Overall it was a solid performance and a good win and we knew it would be hard".

'On the defensive side he (Salah) was outstanding in the last two games, ' Klopp said on Friday. I am fine with him, I think he is fine with me and the situation, so that's all.

The chorus of You'll Never Walk Alone under the lights is enough to pick up even the least motivated of players and the enthusiasm goes hand in hand with Jurgen Klopp's gegenpressing style. He is in a good shape.

"Now their squad, which will sustain them during the season, looks really strong as well, that could be the difference this year".

Liverpool and Chelsea are among the only two sides to still have a 100 per cent record in the Premier League and the Merseyside outfit will seek to extend their brilliant start against an inconsistent Southampton side.
