The first trailer for Captain Marvel has been launched on the internet.

"Captain Marvel" is the first Marvel film to star a solo female superhero and the 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following 2018's "Black Panther", "Avengers: Infinity War", and "Ant-Man and the Wasp". Danvers is an Air Force pilot who debuted in the comics in 1968 as a human companion to the original Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell).

Speaking at the Doctor Strange screening back in May, he said: "It's very important to us that all of our heroes do not become silhouette-perfect cutout icons". It also included a de-aged Samuel L. Jackson returning as Nick Fury, with both eyes still intact and his iconic eye patch is nowhere to be seen.

"Captain Marvel" is scheduled to premiere in March 2019.

Now that the trailer for Captain Marvel has hit the internet, we know who Nick Fury was calling.

In addition to the trailer, Marvel and Disney also released the film's first poster, borrowing the tagline from Carol's recent comics run: "Higher".
