Chrissy Teigen sets the record straight on her last name

Chrissy Teigen dropped an unexpected truth bomb on all of us late Sunday night when she revealed that we've all been pronouncing her last name wrong this entire time.

Then the 32-year-old mother of two, who's married to John Legend, called the situation "v effed up" and noted that she doesn't correct people, "ever". She said it's not pronounced "TEE-gen", but rather "TIE-gen".

And now Chrissy's gotten so used to the new incorrect pronunciation that she's started believing it's actually her name. It's all in good fun, of course (they quite clearly are sickeningly loved up), but it's just bloody amusing and I love it.

Chrissy Teigen isn't the only star whose name is constantly mispronounced.

"It's Tie-gen. Isn't it mom?" she asked in a video.

The whole thing kicked off when a college student expressed shock that most people don't correctly pronounce Ariana Grande's last name. She tweeted that people are saying her name wrong. I'll change my flight, ' she wrote.

A fan brought up the fact that Teigen says it wrong, too.

"I have to keep Grande because my grandpa - I think of him with everything I do and he was so proud of my name".
