Balabhaskar's daughter dies in road accident in Thiruvananthapuram; violinist, wife remain critical

Well-known Indian singer and violinist Balabhaskar and his family met with a major mishap in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The accident happened at Pallipuram.

Their auto reportedly hit a tree as the driver had fallen asleep.

Police suspect that the driver might have dozed off and resulted in losing the control of the auto.

Balabhaskar and his wife Lakshmi are in a critical condition but Tejasvini, their 2-year-old daughter, passed away.

The accident occurred when the family was returning home from Thrissur in their auto, the police said.

Tejaswini Bala was declared brought dead by a private hospital. Their driver Arjun also suffered injuries and has been admitted to the same hospital.

According to the sources, Bala Bhaskar was returning with a visit to a temple of Trishchur with his wife and daughter and during this time big accident took place. A highway patrol unit rushed the family to a nearby hospital immediately, however, the child could not be saved.

Balabhaskar and his wife Lakshmi are critical and are now being treated.

Known for his stage performances, Balabhaskar began his music career at the young age of 12.

Later, Balabhaskar became the heartthrob of music lovers after he started working with fusion scores.
