Apple iPhone XS Event

All three are expected to borrow the swanky all-screen design introduced with the iPhone X a year ago.

The iPhone X hasn't been a runaway hit among Apple fans, who aren't upgrading as often as they used to.

Apple has temporarily taken its online store down in order to prepare for its Gather Round event later today. The 5.8-inch iPhone X replacement has always been known as iPhone XS, but the largest of the threesome has been called either iPhone XS Plus or iPhone XS Max.

Samsung, the world´s biggest smartphone maker, last month unveiled its latest flagship handset, the Galaxy Note 9, and next month Apple rival Google will hold an event at which it is likely to showcase new Android-powered top-end Pixel phones. For the longest time, the only way to watch an Apple event was through Safari, on an iOS device or using Edge on a desktop.

Plenty of companies would like to have Apple's problem - it has been so successful that it's hard for the company to grow.

A larger version, called the iPhone Xs Max, has a 6.5-inch, "cinematic" video display.

Moving iPhone assembly from China to the USA would raise Apple's labor costs, which would put the company under pressure to raise prices on consumers.

However, there's one new rumour that suggests Apple will also bring a feature to these new devices that has never been seen before. The display consists of a total of 2.7 million pixels, features a pixel density of 458 pixels per inch, and has a notch cut-out for the front-facing camera.

It is predicted that Apple products will be available to buy in the first week of October. Apple X, which was launched in September 2017, starts at Dh4,304. In addition to 64GB and 256GB models, Apple will also offer a 512GB model. Apple's offerings may also impact Huawei's P20 Pro.
