"Shin Lim: the sexiest magician on the planet!"

Tennessee native Michael Ketterer came in fifth place on America's Got Talent.

Following her performance during the first part of the final on Tuesday, Howie told Courtney she was a "superstar in the making".

But this probably won't be the last we hear from Hadwin: judge Simon Cowell suggested he might sign her up for a record deal after the show ended. He had harboured dreams of being a pianist until he was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and made a decision to pursue magic as a career. In addition to being a million dollars richer, he will also get to headline his own Vegas show! "I'm going to send a shoutout to somebody right now, and that person is Garth Brooks", he said after Ketterer's performance of "When I Look At You".

Fellow judge Simon Cowell commented that Hadwin was more than just a singer, saying: "Every time you perform, you inspire people, you are more than a great singer, you are a trendsetter".

Lim, hailed by fans as one of the world's best "close-up" magicians, is the Canadian-born son of Singaporean immigrants. "The hardest thing you'll ever do is tell someone you're sorry/ You'll never be the bravest man if you can't admit you're scared", the lyrics read, giving Ketterer plenty of complexity within the track to draw emotion from and connect to as a 41-year-old man.

The show will go on in America for British schoolgirl Courtney Hadwin after her sixth-place finish on America's Got Talent.

Acrobatic dance group Zurcaroh finished second, and electric violinist Brian King Joseph was third.

Lim is a master at sleight of hand, and showed off his talents in the finale when he performed a card trick for host Tyra Banks and "American Ninja Warrior" co-hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila.
