Aaron Rodgers Has Knee Sprain, Skips Practice

As you can imagine, the stadium went absolutely wild, especially after Aaron Rodgers came back after he suffered a knee injury.

Green Bay returned to the practice field on Wednesday, though Rodgers did not participate and stayed at Lambeau Field to rehab.

"All I'm going to say on that is, he's on the right track", inside linebackers coach Glenn Pires said.

"Haven't even thought about that", Rodgers said. "We'll see what tomorrow brings", McCarthy said during his Wednesday news conference.

One major key here is that if the Packers didn't feel Rodgers was at a major risk of aggravating what was widely speculated to be a mild MCL sprain, there's little-to-no chance they would've allowed him back in the game against the Bears.

"Obviously there's the hope of playing", McCarthy said.

Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer isn't buying it. Will the Packers risk putting Rodgers out there for the whole game knowing he could get hurt? Although the quarterback didn't participate in practice, Rodgers did take some time to answer questions about his left knee injury, which he characterized as a sprain. The Packers began to run more pistol looks on offense as opposed to making Rodgers take snaps from under center and put more pressure on and possibly further strain his calf.

"Yeah. He walks on water so I'm sure he's gonna play", Zimmer said, per NFL Network.

Wearing a brace could be an option, depending on how the quarterback feels later in the week.
