Trump campaign says Omarosa job offer wasn't 'hush money'

While on the show, she addressed several controversies now centered around her, including possessing a tape in which Trump allegedly says "n****r" and another in which White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is heard talking to her about her role in the Trump administration, ultimately asking her to leave.

Donald Trump fired Omarosa Manigault Newman from "The Apprentice" three times, but it's her fourth dismissal that's turning into a White House scandal. Omarosa what's going on?

In another recording that Manigault Newman says was taken the next day, Trump can be heard saying he was surprised and disappointed that she was leaving the White House: "Nobody even told me about it".

The president said that Mark Burnett, who produced "The Apprentice", called him and assured him there are "no tapes of the Apprentice where I used such a bad and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa".

The former White House staff member went on to say: "As a student of fashion and keenly image-conscious woman, she knows that every one of her style choices will be scrutinized and debated". I've got all the time you need.

Pierson then spoke to Patton's statement refuting Manigault's claims of having heard a tape with Trump using the racial word. But the tapes' mere existence confirmed a longstanding reality: in Trump's White House, there are few norms or expectations of decorum that can not be shattered.

Both also apparently include clauses prohibiting signers from engaging in any media appearances about Trump without the campaign's permission, something she has done at least a half-dozen times since Friday.

Sometimes this White House just comes out and says it.

"Look at her MANY recent quotes saying such wonderful and powerful things about me - a true Champion of Civil Rights - until she got fired", Trump added.

Manigault Newman defends her secret recordings, saying otherwise "no one in America would believe me". After only a few questions, she says, "Savannah, slow down".

"When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems", Trump said in a tweet.

"No... I, I, nobody even told me about it", Trump replies.

There was some confusion over whether Manigault had actually heard him use the word on tape or if she was just told about him using it.

The source said that at the time 'it was very hush-hush why she was sacked in Washington. "The people that work in the White House work on behalf of the American people and not on behalf of Donald Trump".

"I took it all kind of at face value", she said.

Manigault Newman has now written a book called "Unhinged" - to be released Tuesday - about her White House experiences.

"It's the timeline. The reason why Omarosa is facing a wrath of contradiction is because she can't keep her lies straight", said Pierson.

"The very idea a staff member would sneak a recording device into the White House Situation Room, shows a blatant disregard for our national security-and then to brag about it on national television further proves the lack of character and integrity of this disgruntled former White House employee", Sanders said in a August 12 statement. She said Trump used the racial slur to describe Kwame Jackson, a fellow contestant on the "Apprentice's" first season.

Earlier this year, the White House said President Trump met with top advisers and held meetings in the Situation Room before the launching of airstrikes on Syrian military targets.
