And the same will continue this year, according to a new report from CNET. We assumed it would be either T-Mobile or AT&T, considering no OnePlus devices work on Sprint or Verizon. In keeping with the price trajectory of previous OnePlus releases, the OnePlus 6T is planned to retail for $550, an increase of about $20 over the previous model.

With U.S. carrier support, OnePlus could see a huge jump in sales and brand awareness. For reference, the OnePlus 5T was revealed in mid-November 2017.

Earlier this year OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said his company was working on having its smartphones sold by USA carriers.

For the past couple of years, OnePlus has launched two phones every year: the big generation leap, followed by a "T" version that's similar, but with some upgraded specs and features.

Another gap between the premium phones by Samsung, Apple and OnePlus is the absence of ingress protection certificate. The OnePlus 6T is launching this fall in the United States, and for the first time in the country, OnePlus will be partnering with a carrier.

CNET reports citing sources familiar with the launch plans that OnePlus will be making a specific, optimised version of the OnePlus 6T for T-Mobile network in the US.

The OnePlus 6 is still pretty fresh in our minds, but we have already started with the first round of reports on its successor, the OnePlus 6T. Still, one carrier is better than no carrier, maybe more will join for the OnePlus 7 if all goes smoothly.

Out of all the carriers, T-Mobile certainly makes the most sense.

Bargain hunters have always had a lot to like from OnePlus, and any that are in a T-Mobile store will probably have a hard time missing the flagship looks and lower price of the OnePlus 6T.
