Liam Rosenior has said he was captivated by Brazilian midfielder Fred's debut for Manchester United during their 2-1 win over Leicester City.

Mourinho was bemused left by Pogba's comments about the prospect of being fined following Friday's win over Leicester in their opening game.

Mourinho suggested Pogba played much better at the World Cup because he did not have his entourage round him nor the distractions of commercial obligations.

"I want him to play well, I want him to play for that team, the fans, and that is what it is".

The forward travelled to Paris to be with his partner and Mourinho admitted at the time that he didn't know whether Martial would be rejoining his teammates, passing a question about the 22-year-old on to United's press officer.

"I think he's a wonderful athlete, can certainly break very, very well from midfield and I think what he has shown is a passing ability that he's got".

"We thought [about Pogba]: he's a young guy, good personality, made in the academy, normally a starting player, he has conditions to be a captain in future".

Guardiola's team were widely regarded as one of the finest sides to ever play in the English top-flight, 12 months after the Catalan coach played out his first and only trophyless season as a professional manager.

"As a new player, you want to have a good performance in your home games and it's exactly the same for me".

"He's working extremely well here, but I have to say in his defence that write what you want about him, write what you want about me, please don't say lies".

"We never had a hard - I don't know how you like to say - exchange of words". I'm not going to ask him.

Discussing the documentary, Mourinho told Sky Sports: 'You can have a fantastic movie while respecting others.

"I certainly think he wants to go to Barcelona or Real Madrid". "If his objective is to play for the team, for the fans, if this is the objective, he has the right for a bad match".

Interestingly, in the reports on Thursday it was claimed that the former Juventus midfielder had fired back by telling Mourinho he pass through his agent Mino Raiola if he has any intentions to speak to him formally again.
