Upset Dodgers broadcaster caught on camera after hearing of DeMarcus Cousins' deal

No, that would belong to DeMarcus Cousins, the four-time All-Star who signed a one-year deal with the reigning National Basketball Association champions, the Golden State Warriors. According to Spears, it was Cousins who called Warriors GM Bob Myers to make him an offer he couldn't refuse. The Warriors have historically erred on the side of caution with injuries and can certainly afford to let Cousins take his time returning due to their depth.

The 1975-76 Boston Celtics are the only other team that had five All-Stars from the previous season.

Cousins, however, is much, much better than your typical MLE pickup.

Here's the catch: The Warriors aren't planning to start Cousins, one league source says. Nor will he face as many double (or triple) teams when creating with or without the ball.

This also means no other significant help is on the way.

Kennedy tweeted that an National Basketball Association player who is a free agent said of the Cousins signing, "They might as well cancel the National Basketball Association season".

The move is a gamble for the Warriors, and there's no guarantee it'll work out, but few people seem happy that they've gotten better this offseason. For his career, Cousins averages 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.

Cousins' Oakland tenure is strictly an audition for the rest of the league. But more talent won't necessarily make the Warriors more successful next season.

Perhaps the best comparison is power forward Elton Brand, a double-double machine and two-time All-Star until he tore his Achilles at age 28. Then after that, DeMarcus said he talked to Stephen Curry, he spoke with Kevin Durant, he spoke with Draymond Green.

Cousins told The Undefeated on May 18 that his rehabilitation from Achilles surgery was ahead of schedule and he hoped to be ready for training camp. Cousins can now become a free agent in 2019 when more teams have cap space and he has a chance to prove he can return to his pre-injury form.

Knicks' Enes Kanter showed off some impressive editing skills by photoshopping NBA Commissioner Nate Silver in a Warriors jersey, while Cleveland big man Larry Nance Jr tweeted a gif summing up the feelings of many of his colleagues. For sure. Is it a guarantee?
