Nokia 3.1 Android-One smartphone launched in India for Rs. 10,499

Nokia brand licensee HMD Global on Thursday announced the launch of Nokia 3.1 smartphone in India. Its called the Nokia 3.1 Android One. The smartphone was first unveiled in Russian Federation in May this year and recently went on sale in the United States.

"Enter HMD's Nokia phones, an entire lineup of cheap smartphones ranging from $100 to $400". This makes the smartphone slightly costlier than its predecessor. The device comes in Blue, Copper, Black Chrome, and White Iron colour options.

The screen is still a 5.8-inch 1080x2280 LCD with a 19:9 ratio. The smartphone has a 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla glass. Its predecessor, on the other hand, came with a smaller 5 inch HD+ IPS panel. The report mentioned that the Nokia X6 would be launched globally as the Nokia 6.1 Plus and that's precisely what has happened.

Despite the more premium appearance and cameras, the rest of the phone is middle-of-the-road including a MediaTek P60 processor, 3 or 4GB of memory, 32 or 64GB of storage that's expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card and a 3,060mAh battery. On recharge of Rs 149, customers will get 1GB data daily along with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day with a validity of 28 days.

Nokia 3.1, first launched in Moscow in late May, has now made its way into the Indian market.
